Huang Zitao Gets Emotional While Talking About His Late Father

Huang Zitao shed tears as she shared about her late father, Huang Zhongdong, who passed away on September 11, 2020 at the age of 52. During a recent episode of the reality show The Detectives’ Adventures 萌 探探 , Huang Zitao reveals that he was initially unaware of his father's illness and regretted that he was unable to take care of his parents more.

He said, “I was filming a show, my dad found out he was sick for a year, he didn't tell my mom and he didn't tell me either. I called my dad and asked why he didn't pick up. I called for two weeks and said, "Dad, why don't you pick up the phone." My father was in the hospital and suffered, he said, "I'm fine." He said, "I'm fine, I'm fine." Before my father passed away, he had a cerebral embolism, I didn't even get a chance to talk to him one last time. On the phone, he said: "Son, I'm okay, I've prepared everything for you, don't worry about you, shoot the show well. My mother never told me this either.”

He went on to say, “I feel as children, we should understand what adult lives are, what they are undertaking for you. I feel it is very important, so I feel regret a lot, I always feel that I love my father and mother very much. I always feel that I did a good job. I would say to my parents "I love you" every day. I would tell them "I miss you" every day. I will send them a message after I wake up everyday. But I really don't know how they live when I'm not around. Everything we learn over the phone can be fake.”
